Yucca Root- Helpful for Joints and More
How does Yucca Help?
Yucca Root contains Salicylic acid which gives it similar properties to aspirin for being pain relieving and temperature and swelling reducing. It is used for helping decrease inflammation and pain related to rheumatism, arthritis and bursitis. It is especially good for joint mobility.
It has also been used internally as a tea helpful for Gout, Ulcers, and purifying the blood.
Interesting side note: The Indians of the Southwest used yucca root for its cleansing and detergent properties because of its saponin properties which create suds when agitated. It makes an excellent shampoo and is good for the skin; soothing to skin eruptions and abrasions.
We infuse yucca root into our Arnica Oil. It is also in our Pain in the Joint Tea and Pain Tonic.
