What Are They and Why?
There are many good herbs for building the immune system. Herbs have been used for centuries to help our body fight germ invaders. However, some are better at working together, and for you, than others. Here are 10 of my favorites. They are powerful body system defense builders that work fast and effectively.
Dandelion Root– Acts as a tonic to the system, a blood, kidney and liver cleanser, destroys acids in the blood, good for skin, energy, digestion, low blood pressure, anemia, water retention, and much more. High in calcium and nutrients. Learn more Here.
Burdock Root is one of the best blood cleansers as well as a kidney, liver and gland cleanser. It helps to reduce swelling and deposits in the joints. It is also used for fatigue and nervous disorders.
Rosehips – Excellent source of vitamin C. Used for infection and cleansing toxins out of the body. Good for circulation, fevers, sore throats, colds and flu.
Licorice Root – A blood purifier, licorice supports the lungs, soothes the throat, coughs, stomach and adrenal glands. It helps expel mucous from the respiratory system. Helps activate other herbs. Good for endurance and vitality.
Pau D’ Arco -Cleanses and strengthens the whole system. It is high in calcium, is a blood purifier and anti-fungal, and is also helpful in fighting yeast infections and skin problems.
Ginger has been used for digestive disorders, motion sickness, fever and coughing and helps lower cholesterol.
Fenugreek – Helps expel mucous from the sinuses. An intestinal lubricant and healer. Good for fever, flus and colds, coughs and congestion. Soothes throat and lungs.
